Declan Ellis Advert Analysis 2, Fairtrade Advert

The Story

The story is a giant head that starts spinning and then a load of cocoa beans come flying towards him, then they all climb on the giant heads head and look like hair, they start moving and start  pulling the faces that come on before them, like when a goat comes on the cocoa beans become ears and a guy shakes his face and the giant head copies it, then a cocoa bean jumps and lands on a part of the giant head which spring boards it up, it then explodes with a load of colours coming out then some hip hop singer comes out and lands out the group and everybody starts dancing, at the end a dairy milk, an Africans head with fair trade comes up on screen.

Camera shots

The shots used in this are close up at the beginning of some hands doing some kind of shake/greeting, then a medium shot of the giant head to show it, it then zooms in as the head spins faster and faster, after all the cocoa beans are coming out a long shot to show them all coming out is shown, shoulder and head shot of the people then close up of the giant head, most of the shots are head and shoulder in this advert.

Mise-en-scene

Green and cocoa colours are used to blend in with the idea of fair-trade, chocolate and Africa
