Aaron's Advert Reflection

1. In the ‘Ghost’ advert, we used the rebel technique with the ghost taking the chocolate bar after the group of teens run away. In the ‘Temptation’ advert, we used the rebel technique for when the main character steals the chocolate bar from the other character.

2. During the editing, we came to numerous decisions such as including a noise burst which would make it look and feel more like a CCTV camera. As well we used tint to darken the scenes and add a greenish effect that would in turn create a more realistic feel to it. For the ‘Temptation’ advert, we decided to use mainly cuts with no special effects.

3. I think that the ‘Ghost’ advert was not so much as persuasive but more entertaining which will attract a young audience who might even want to buy the chocTemptation’ advert was again more entertaining and humorous which will also attract a young audience who will end up buying the product. You can watch any Dairy Milk advert, professional or non professional and it will have the entertaining element within it cause dairy milk want to attract young audiences who admire humour and entertainment, they don’t want to think about it, they just want to be entertained.

4. I definitely know that I will not be doing anything ghost related for a while as it is complicated to produce during filming as well as during the post-production. The issues I accounted while filming and editing the ‘Ghost’ advert were that the two overlay shots must be exactly in the same position otherwise it will just look rubbish. Next time I would probably include some normal shots rather than fully filming it as one scene, in the perspective of the CCTV camera although I had great continuity.

5. I did not breach any legal or ethical issues within the ‘Ghost’ advert since I used a white actor, a Muslim actor (who was also French), a German actor and a female.  It will not cause offence or harm to children due to the ad being more entertaining and not horrific or scary. The ‘Temptation’ advert is not offensive and does not harm anyone but includes the rebel element which could seem as a promotion for stealing.
